Vitus Guesthouse was built in 1989 in the heart of Transylvania, on the “holy mountain of the Székelys,” Madarasi Hargita, where stars dance on the snow and sunbeams on pine branches. We operate as a family business, as our parents built and started running it, then handed it over to us, the “children,” to continue the legacy. Ever since, we have been continuously beautifying, renovating, and modernizing it with all our hearts. It’s not quite finished even now—there is always work to be done—but we do it with pleasure.
On the ground floor, a 40-person restaurant awaits guests with traditional, home-style flavors. A fireplace with its crackling fire makes winter evenings, or even cool summer evenings, even more magical.
On the first floor, a spacious lobby welcomes our guests. Here you will find three four-person rooms equipped with bunk beds, which are a favorite among guests with children. There is also a two-person room. These rooms have their own private bathrooms.
The second floor is home to the „Csaba House.” Here, too, a spacious lobby greets guests, and you will find five four-person rooms. However, the rooms on this floor share a common washroom and toilet. For an even more relaxing stay, a Finnish sauna and a jacuzzi with light effects also await our guests.
This is an ideal accommodation for winter lovers and for those who want to hike in the summer, but the beauty of the landscape is also stunning in the spring and autumn.
We also have a charging station for guests arriving with electric cars.
